ROUSH: THE PRODUCTION 2011

2011 sees the debut of the new engine, the Coyote, on the GT model. The models available in Roush are 4, plus a prototype and a special model for Saudi Arabia, the Shamal. This year Stage 3 (apart a prototype RS3 used in Event One Lap of America” in June 2011) is replaced by 5XR. Below the production for the year 2011.

Total 2011 Mustang Roush built: 616

• Coupes: 528 (85.7% of total)
• Convertibles: 88 (14.3% of total)
• 6 Speed Manual: 557 (90.4% del totale)
• Automatic: 59 (9.6% of total)
• ROUSHcharged: 151 (24.5% of total)

ROUSH SPORT

This new step was considered the new “entry level” for the 2011. This car incluses the Roush complete bodykit, the front splitter, the rear spoiler and the graphics. It’s a sort of Stage 1 without Roush Rims.

STAGE 1

It follows the same philosophy of the previous years. This version adds a complete Rims and Tires Package and better Graphics. 87 Stage 1 have been built in 2011.

STAGE 2

It kept the same Philosophy of the previous years. It add a Complete handling package to the Stage 1. The export version for the Canadian market has only one difference: the Tachometer in Km/h. Only 87 Roush Stage 2 have been produced in 2011.

ROUSH 5XR

ROUSH 5XR is kind of Stage 3. It adds a supercharged 2.3-liter ROUSHcharger. The engine produces 525 cv of power and  465 lb.-ft of thorque. the Canadian version has a Km/h Tachometer. Only 136 units have been produced, Instead of the 150 estimated.

SHAMAL

The Shamal is a special model, based on the 5XR, dedicated to the Middle-East Markets. It has different graphics and Badges, with a dedicated “SHAMAL” badge also inside the car. The Only mechanical differences from the 5XR are the bigger radiators and a more powerful cooling system, due to the extremely hot weater. Only 15 Shamal have been built.
